FAQ
Where are you located?
My office is at 411 Main Street, Suite I (the letter I), Kamiah Idaho.
How do I make an appointment? You can call or text me at 208-702-2393 to request an appointment. Also, you can email me at Penny@PennyMPT.com
Do you take insurance?Regrettably, since my business is just one individual, insurance companies will not contract with me for their services. That said, if you have an insurance other than Medicare, they will usually have a “out of network provider” coverage that usually covers about 70% of the cost.
How much does a treatment cost?My fee is $60.00 per hour. Most initial appointments are 1 hour but follow up appointments may only be 30 minutes depending on how complex your problem is or how many body parts are involved. I am occasionally available for in home physical therapy as well
What kinds of problems do you treat?I treat all kinds of musculoskeletal problems and injuries. I also treat some stroke, head injury and pediatric issues. Anything that has to do with stiffness, soreness, weakness or difficulty moving is something that I would work on. The two main types of therapy that I use are Primal Reflex Release Technique (PRRT) and Total Motion Release (TMR). PRRT is especially good at restoring function and reducing pain in cases of old injuries and asymmetries. TMR is a great method of maintaining and continuing to improve function and pain reduction after function and symmetry has been restored.
What days and times are available for treatments?I am available to see clients Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
How long is a treatment?Initial visits are usually 60 minutes and follow up visits are anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes depending on how complex the issue is or how many body parts are involved.
What do you do during a treatment?I am generally doing a complete body assessment during the first treatment. I am looking for symmetry in the head and pelvis in particular and then areas adjacent to the problem area that may be contributing to it. Both Primal Reflex Relief Technique (PRRT) and Total Motion Release (TMR) are very gentle while also being amazingly effective at eliminating pain and disfunction and restoring strength and normal function.
How many treatments will it take me to get better? Both of the main techniques that I use, PRRT and TMR, result in very rapid improvements in nearly all cases. You should notice a 50% or better improvement on the first visit and I often only treat people 3-4 visits before they no longer need to see me.
What is Primal Reflex Release Technique (PRRT)?PRRT is a revolutionary way of accessing the reflexes that are present in the human body to change how the body holds itself and break up detrimental tension and pain patterns that then allow the body to function at its best and highest level.
What is Total Motion Release (TMR)?TMR is a method of assessing function for the entire body using a set of simple movements. Then, using only the best and easiest motions of the body, you are able to correct asymmetries and movement disfunctions that result in restored strength, movement and function for the whole body.
